Once your crypto card is in Apple Pay or Google Pay, spending crypto becomes as easy as tapping your phone. This guide covers adding a virtual crypto card to each major wallet, plus quick fixes for the usual snags.

Before you start

  • Issue a virtual card and fund it so it is active.
  • Have your phone’s wallet app ready (Apple Wallet, Google Wallet, or Samsung Wallet).
  • Keep the card details handy, or use the "Add to wallet" button in your dashboard if available.

Add to Apple Pay (iPhone)

  1. Open the Wallet app and tap the + in the top corner.
  2. Choose Debit or Credit Card, then scan or enter the virtual card number, expiry and CVV.
  3. Accept the terms and complete any verification (one-time code).
  4. The card appears in Wallet — hold your iPhone near a terminal to pay, or select Apple Pay at online checkout.

Add to Google Pay / Google Wallet (Android)

  1. Open Google Wallet and tap Add to Wallet → Payment card.
  2. Enter the virtual card details or scan the card.
  3. Verify with the one-time code if prompted.
  4. Tap to pay in store, or choose Google Pay online.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Everything people actually ask. Last updated .

Can I add a crypto card to Apple Pay?

Yes. A virtual crypto card can be added to Apple Pay by entering its details in the Wallet app or tapping "Add to Apple Pay" in your card dashboard, then verifying. Once added, you can tap to pay in stores and online.

Does a crypto card work with Google Pay?

Yes. Add the virtual card in the Google Wallet app the same way as any card. It then works for contactless and online payments wherever Google Pay is accepted.

Do I need a physical card to use Apple/Google Pay?

No. A virtual card is enough — that is the point of provisioning it into a phone wallet. A physical card is only needed for chip-and-PIN or some ATMs.

Why won’t my crypto card add to Apple Pay?

Common causes are an unsupported region, mismatched details, or a card not yet activated/funded. Make sure the card is active, details are exact, and try again or contact support.

Is paying with a crypto card via Apple Pay secure?

Yes. Apple Pay and Google Pay tokenise the card number, so merchants never see your real card details, adding a layer of protection on top of the card’s own controls.
